grandma´s spirit

my grandmothers old sewing machine finally arrived in the studio. I can´t tell how much this means to me.

The machine is from 1960 and has no electric engine, I have to use my feet to make her run.

Thank you Oma, wherever you are

the last days I spent again in Bavaria for a family visit.
I stayed at my brothers home, where I found this little, old stove in the garden.

I was so happy when he gave it to me and I´m curious if it still works

the secret life of toys

These pics made me giggle, Susan sent them,
telling me that her boyfriend creates these kind of settings with Susans viking Alvar
and the little guardian angel, when he is making the bed.
Sweet boy :)

I thought the game they were playing was Scrabble, but I learned from Susan that it is called Bananagrams

Char, has a great art-giveaway on her blog

welcome distraction

what a gray and rainy day. While working on a clay model for a new project...

these little fellows are keeping me distracted. Love to watch them.

vintage paper love

Hello again, I hope you all arrived well in 2011 :) Happy new year to you!

The wallpaper question was finally solved by my husband, who gave me this original fifties wallpaper
(held by ghost hands) as a Christmas gift.
He thought it would make me happy and fit to the studio and he was right. Can´t wait to stick it to the wall.

Did I ever tell you that I´m a paperbag addict? Now you know ;)
Got 160 of these beauties

And these old wrapping papers, aren´t they just beautiful? It doesn´t matter at all, that I have no any idea yet what
to use it for. Just looking at it makes me happy too.

What´s your latest treasures?
