Dear readers, in case you wondered ... I´m still alive
In the meantime
... I turned 43
... made some new ribbon designs for Kafka (hope to show you a sneak peek soon)
... and cancelled my studio
I very much appreciated your personal experiences and thoughts on my last post, thanks so much for sharing it here!
Finally I reached a decision. I will move out from my current studio by end of September.
The last months I had worked a lot from home already and didn´t use the studio as often as I could have.
So I hope I won´t miss it too much.
For now a home studio seems more effective for how I work and will save a lot of money too.
Space will be limited, but I´ll have a separate room again with a small balcony.
I already like the idea of having 24 hours a day access to all my stuff and tools again.
Something I am really missing right now.

Ich bin sehr gespannt auf deine neuen Designs. Deine Entscheidung mit dem Studio kann ich gut verstehen, wie du weisst… Für mich kommt ja vorerst die Erfahrung wie es ist ausserhalb des Homeoffice. Freue mich aber auf die Erfahrung! :)

as for cancelling the studio, indeed, it will save you money and as long as you can find peace and inspiration to create any place would be as good, i guess.
Happy Birthday! I hope it was sweet. As August is approaching I am again missing Germany.
I think a home studio is a good thing. I get distracted but then again my peak creativity happens around 10PM!

das sind ganz schön viele Neuigkeiten. Erst mal herzlichen Glückwunsch nachträglich zum Geburtstag. Ich bin jetzt ganz gespannt, auf die neuen Bänder. Wobei ich gerade diese Woche wieder gedacht habe, wie schön eine Stickdatei von den "Britischen" wäre .... hmm. Das Du jetzt von zu Hause arbeitest ist bestimmt eine gute Entscheidung. Mal abgesehen von dem gesparten Geld, kannst Du immer sofort arbeiten, wenn Dir danach ist. Ein Versuch ist es allemal wert. Ich wünsch Dir eine schöne Woche.

Liebe Sandra,
ich hab schon damit gerechnet, nach deinem letzten Post, dass du das Studio aufgeben wirst. Schade, eine so liebe "Nachbarin" zu verlieren. Ab September bin ich wieder schräg gegenüber. Werde dich bevor du ausziehst sicher nochmal in deinem Atelier besuchen.
Letztendlich ist es aber sicher die beste Lösung, Geld sparen ist ja auch immer gut und wenn du nun gemerkt hast, dass du auch von zu Hause aus gut arbeiten kannst, warum dann das Studio.
