after talking with Anne about screenprinting this week, it was time to give it another try today....
I made a screen from a wooden stretcher, a piece of small meshed polyester curtain from the fabric store
and tape.
For bringing my image onto the screen I used screen drawing fluid and screen filler. A cardboard envelop
was my substitute for a squeegee.
Not perfect yet, but with more practice it could work at least for simple designs.
If you like to try it too, here you find a detailed tutorial with a nice printing result
Enjoy your weekend, lovelies!

oh, toll !!
Für einen Gardinenstoff ist das Ergebnis doch super! Die Variante mit Zeichenflüssigkeit kann ich noch nicht. Sehr interessant. :)
Aber am Besten gefällt mir dein Rakel, HA!
Super !!!

that's terrific. and he looks like he's going swimming
He is cool! Stay warm xxx
A great print! Just shows that you don't necessarily need fancy or expensive equipment to get fantastic results.
A friend of mine was teaching me to screen print and I was having some issues. We finally used a credit card to scrape the paint across the screen and it worked perfectly.
thank you all
@Cindy: really, a credit card? I heard the "Squeegee" has to be a at least the size of the screen image, as you should not scrape more than once, because one would see this in the print? But I will give it a try next time. Thank you for the tip!
nice
stay warm and enjoy your weekend
Not perfect but really nice.
Love it!
Great result on the bag. Terrific clip too. Thank you for posting it.
Hi! We think your stuff is amazingly super - especially the viking characters! Really like the new bag. Please, please can you put some stuff in your shops so we can buy lots of it!! Thanks!
The materials you used for screen printing seem like things you can find in your home. Thank you for posting about your experiences screen printing.
Hey Sandra,
ich habe mich schon gefragt, ob Du noch mal Siebdrucken würdest :) Sieht doch super aus das Ergebnis!
Viele Grüße aus Hamburg
