before the weekend...

... I have to share this with you, because I´m so thrilled to see what people are making with the
Little Britain ribbons. These brooches are made by Mona and available in her Dawanda Shop

There´s a long interview with French bear designer Cyriaque L. on Dawanda France blog
(for those of you who speak French)

We already got some feedback and interest in the "Trunk Show" idea. Thank you!
We still need some more participants, but chances are good that it will take place.
I will soon share more details on my other German blog

Happy weekend to you! We still enjoy the nicest summer weather

CALL FOR LOCAL DESIGNERS/ARTISTS/CREATIVES:

My studio mate Jutta and I recently discussed if we should try to organize a TRUNK SHOW
or in German KOFFERMARKT in advent. We both like the idea very much.

If are a local designer/artist/crafter and interested in participating, please get in touch [kompottfabrik(at)web.de]. Thank you!

weekend pleasures

The apples are ripe, so I baked an APFELKUCHEN. It was sooo yummy

German WOHNIDEE magazine (current issue) wrote a nice and long article about  Baenderei Kafka,
the old weaving mill, that also made my Little Britain woven ribbons - happy to find them also mentioned.

I´m always so exited and grateful when a dear customer is sending me pictures.
Isn´t this the cutest little viking thumbsucker? Thank you Nienke!

vacation - more found plastic trash

I´m grateful for the link to a movie that Lizette yesterday left  in her comment.
This movie sadly shows what tragedies all that plastic trash, floating in the ocean, causes.
I read that 18000 pieces of plastic are floating on every square kilometre of ocean.
Can you imagine that? It makes me mad!

I think avoiding plastic whenever possible, picking up plastic from beaches, or generally from nature
are just a teeny tiny help, but something everyone can do.
Afterwards dispose the trash safely or make something out of it

vacation - some things I found at the beach

Sunbathing isn´t up to my alley, I soon get bored by just lying around.
But give me a flattering rubbish bag and you find me running up and down the beach for hours,
finding the most childish joy in poking and searching for stranded goods.
This time many plastic pieces like caps crossed my way.

essential when travelling: glue and paint

~ ~ ~

just a quick hello to tell you my vacation is over, though it feels my soul hasn´t arrived completely yet.

I spent good days in Brittany (will share some more pics soon), being cut off from internet.
So if I owe you an email.... hoping to catch up very soon.

All orders will be packed and shipped this week too. Thank you so much for your patience!
