old kitchen cabinet
found at the thrift store, almost for free.
A new paint eventually, maybe, maybe not.
For the moment I like it just the way it is.

too early for titels

good morning to you :) I woke up feeling much better already. Thank you all for your well wishes!
Britten asked where to get the speedy cut and speedy carve blocks. This might probably be only interesting for
German readers, therefore I posted the links on the German KOMPOTTfabrik Blog.

the softest gift
a lumbago attack is with me since end of last week. Today I couldn´t sit anymore and finally had to overcame
my doctorphobia.
After some pain killer injections in the back plus a bit deeper
and a relaxant treatment for the night, I´m now looking forward to sleep straight through the night!
The rest of the day I spent at home, wrapped in a beautiful granny blanket.
It´s so soft and cozy and is keeping the back perfectly warm.
The blanket was made by my beloved friend Cornelia and given to me as a gift.
Thank you Conny, I love you!
Saturday I held my first KOMPOTTfabrik "workshop" {despite lumbago - call me tough}.
7 ladies and a dog had a good time together. You can see pictures here , here and here

an event
first of all thank you for your recommendations for a newsletter provider.
I checked Mailchimp and I think I´m going to try it.
Thank you also very much for your Little Britain ribbon orders!

In line with our wishes for more real life touches with other creative people, together with my studio neighbor
Jutta we founded "KOMPOTTfabrik"
KOMPOTT = COMPOTE = a mixture
in our case = a mixture of crafts, creative events, workshops for kids and adults, crafty people,
networking etc.
I´d like to invite you to a crafty KOMPOTT afternoon, if you are in the area
on Saturday, July 16th 2011 from 2 - 5 p.m.
we are printing on textiles, trying several techniques. It won´t be a given workshop and there won´t be a printing
expert present for giving instructions. It´s more kind of an experimental thing, trying several printing techniques
and having fun together.
address: Lindenstrasse 60, 53721 Siegburg
If you like to join us, please send an email to kompottfabrik(at)web.de and I´m giving you further details.
You can also check the KOMPOTTfabrik blog (written in German) and handmadekultur

a bigger SHOP UPDATE
after ages, I just sent out another herzensart newsletter to my subscribers *uff*
It´s always a big thing to me (that´s the reason why I am very lame in writing neswletters),
because I have to consolidate email adresses from different sources, looking for doubles etc.pp.
I know there must be an easier way to bring the news out to my customers.
Do you send out newsletters? If so, how do you do it? All by yourself, or do you use some kind of company service?
I´d love to hear.
Second big thing: I made a shop update with
some pincushions
and Grenadier brooches
and last but not least the

tadaaaaaaaa!

weekend pleasures
I´m back. Yesterday was my birthday and I got a new little pocket camera, that I took
to a vernissage in a gallery for outsider art , situated in a an amazing old building of a former waterworks.
I so have a thing for old brickstone buildings.
{I liked this viking ship very much}
also a pottery market was in town
Now for something completely different. Anybody here working with an embroidery machine and being able to digitize?
