finished another one today.
Some days back I got an email prompting me to a french company, called "du pareil au meme",
which is offering kids clothes with viking prints.
The sender of the email wondered if I had designed these viking prints for this company,
as they are very close to my viking design.
But I did not and I wonder where does influence end and plagiarism begin?
Keri´s article about plagiarism, does not have an answer to that question,
but is giving at least some comfort.

Julie Arkell

To me Julie Arkell is the queen of paper maché, which she uses to create a magical world of her own.
I just grabbed a copy of "HOME", Julie´s book
Since MANY years I haven´t played with paper maché, but now I SO would love to start right away.
Look at this amazing collection and display of little treasures!
Have a nice Sunday in Advent!

viking door hangers

I´m writing from my familys place, but wanted to show you my newest viking item, which arrived
already last week.
Due to some health problems within my family I´m staying here more often for the next
months. This means some reorganization of my time, especially my studio time.
For a while I won´t be able to make new customized orders and therefore I had to remove my
"made-to-order" offer from my webshop again.
Orders I had already accepted of course I´m going to finish, but new orders are not possible for the moment.
I´m a bit worrying about the monthly studio rent, but on the other hand,
this will also allow more spontaneously "free" working again.
Talk more soon, when I´m back at home next week.
Have a nice weekend, lovelies!
P.S.: Thank you for the nice feedback for the guardian angel pattern. I already recieved a first angel picture
from Irene. She made the angel the same day she purchased the pattern, so sweet :)

little guardian angel - DIY
Many of you my dear readers love making things by hand and many of you love sewing.
If you also have a heart for angels, you can now find the original pattern and instructions
for my little guardian angel for download, in my webshop.
There´s an English and a German version available.
I´m sure this little angel also makes a nice handmade Christmas gift.
Have fun!

I´m happy you like the new plates :)
I just added the 2 new viking plates to the shop. At them moment I only have a small number of each available.
If they are gone, I will reorder them, but this will take a few days until I get them.
Spent a while in front of the cereal shelf in the supermarket today and had a hard time
deciding what to choose for some plate decoration.
Oat whealmeal honey flowers were a good choice and sesame hedghoges are yummy too :)
Hope you enjoy your weekend!

where the beautiful ribbons live
My weekend trip led me again to Baenderei Kafka, an old traditional ribbon weaving mill in Wuppertal.
Some weeks ago they moved all these hughe 19th century looms and everything to a new address,
again of course packed with lots of charm and history
Stepping into their atomspherical shop feels like stepping into a parlor, I even was served coffee and cookies :)
I took home some beautiful ribbons from new designs to some old rarities.
Until Christmas the Baenderei is open for visitors
every Saturday from 10.00 a.m. – 16.00 p.m.
and Wednesday from 14.00 p.m. – 17.00 p.m.
