first taste of summer

a shop called "Lieblingsstuecke"

This could be Pippi Longstockings house, don´t you think?

But it´s the colorful, temporary home for cute stuff and a shop called Lieblingsstuecke.
Today I visited Regina, the shop owner to bring her one of my Drakkar pillows
she had adopted

so much sweet stuff for girls and boys
needless to say I found some "must haves" for myself

Tuesday, and I think my walk looks kind of normal again. After 10 hours of only standing plus some hours for putting my stall up and down, I felt like a member of Monty Pythons ministry of silly walks. Oh my feet....

The design platform was an amazing event. So many awsome and inspiring designers and so many visitors
I was lucky to have my stall next to some sweet ladies like Patricia Yasmine Graf , Andrea Derichs and Sabine Lang

exhibition "Design muss sein"

I´m packing for an event, I´m going to take part

As part of the international museum day there will be a designer platform
called "Design muss sein"

traditional handicraft - Baenderei Kafka

Yesterday I visited "Baenderei Kafka", an old German weaving mill based in Wupptertal.

They manufacture beautiful traditional and modern ribbons on old 19th century Jaquard looms. It needs about one hour to turn these thin threads into one meter of ribbon




But the results speak for themselves. The ribbons are sold worldwide
to Designers, shops and private persons




Over there I met Christine. She´s an old friend of mine and guided me through the factory.
While we were chatting in the cozy factory shop, the looms were rattling above our heads
