My weekend trip led me again to Baenderei Kafka, an old traditional ribbon weaving mill in Wuppertal.
Some weeks ago they moved all these hughe 19th century looms and everything to a new address,
again of course packed with lots of charm and history
Stepping into their atomspherical shop feels like stepping into a parlor, I even was served coffee and cookies :)
I took home some beautiful ribbons from new designs to some old rarities.
Until Christmas the Baenderei is open for visitors
every Saturday from 10.00 a.m. – 16.00 p.m.
and Wednesday from 14.00 p.m. – 17.00 p.m.

What gorgeous ribbons :)
I can't possibly think what I would use ribbons for... but these are divine.
Lovely shop! The red & white ribbons are gorgeous and who wouldn't love one of the sewing boxes in the bottom photo. Fantastic!

Just found your blog and going a little crazy. Loving the ribbons...but mostly, loving your blog and shop to the max right now.
sieht so schön aus!
oh, dort würde ich auch so gerne mal hinfahren. Steht schon ganz lange auf meiner geheimen Liste. Aber ich fürchte, es wäre der totale Ruin... Alles so unwiderstehlich schön.
There is just something so special about ribbon. What a lovely place to visit!
