it´s a lazy, sunny weekend, with a bit of gardening, barbecue, relaxing and fleamarket strolling. Safed some dandelions before the grass was cut and made dandelion syrup.

I crawled out of bed today

feeling like a bus has hit me, but I´m back on my feet again. Thank you so much for all your sweet emails and comments in the last days. That really helped me not to bang my head against the wall.


Hope this guy is the last made-in-bed-paper-viking I have to show you. This one is more like a paper doll, the first I ever made. Unfortunately I didn´t have smaller brads. Will have to order some for another try.

...in bed, coughing like an elk. I´m not good in staying in bed, which means I´m getting bored. I AM bored. My sketchbook is next to me, but cannot concentrate on one thing. So much time to surf the internet, so much inspiration, so many things I´d like to do all at once.

I´m running out my textile tags. Is this the correct name for those little tags you are sewing to the side seam? Have to order new ones. Since I had my logo changed already a while back it is more than overdue. But I wonder if I couldn´t find anything else than those woven polyester tags. A more natural material I would like better. Also found printed on cotton tags. Have to think about that. Any other ideas??? Everything that helps killing time is very appreciated :)

new little window installation "free the birds"

I had started the "free the birds series" already a while back. These birds are based on a digest from " The Banyan Deer", a Buddhist legend

"... I shall free the birds. They may now fly freely throughout my real. No man shall hunt them again. Then may they build their nests in peace..."

Being able to fly made the bird from ancient times to a symbol for freedom. Figuratively the bird stands for the human soul, free spirit and a self-determined life, with all it´s possibilities.

In this spirit: free the birds...

finally spring has arrived, perfect for yesterdays daytrip to the lovely Dutch city Maastricht. Wish I had a bike like this.

I had taken the old, small pocket camera with me, which gave up only after a few pics. This was the last one

Hopefully a daily routine soon: Bogi and I enjoying our coffee outside, sitting at the stairs to our studio. Will have to watch out for a small garden bench or chairs and a table
more gifts from our studio opening party. 2 wonderful flowerbulbs children and a cute bag from Elisa,
besides lovely scarfs, dear Elke made for the 3 of us. Friederike! hasn´t taken hers off since that day. She doesn´t care about the warm weather
